With 3,500 in-person attendees and over 10,000 tuning in remotely, Disney’s 2025 Upfront was bold, immersive, and unforgettable. From the moment guests stepped onto the blue carpet, they were dropped into a streaming-forward world of Disney powered by design, storytelling, technology, and a touch of Disney’s signature pixie dust.

more than 300 deliverables,

spanning print, motion, and digital OOH were developed by Versus. These covered segment showcases, announcements like the new ESPN streaming app, and speaker tiles for featured guests.

To ensure flawless execution, Versus partnered with Disney on-site throughout the week leading up to the event, adapting to creative pivots and last-minute updates in real time.

Design & Process

"Re-frame the U.I. to frame the up-front"

By reframing the UI to frame the Upfront, Versus’ signature grid system became a living, breathing environment, each block animated independently, yet part of a larger whole. Content broke free from its frames, defying boundaries and flowing across screens, stages, and architecture, creating a fully immersive Disney universe.

A complex system pipeline had to be developed to handle the quantity and size of the assets, while avoiding bottle necks with renders.

After all initial designs were generated and approved, our 3D artists would create the elements in C4D, then a 3D/After Effects wizard would convert all of the elements into an After Effects project to be setup and ready to organize as a working tool kit. As well as apply all of the beauty pass and comp elements. Then our After Effects artists would apply the comp, beauty work and consolidate everything for it to be tool kit friendly.
